“I really liked the combination of the laptop and the ritual, plus how this was shortly followed by the demon announcing itself via the Department for Employment and Pension’s internal CRM system! As technology gets more and more intertwined into our lives, it’s not too much of a stretch to be able to justify this juxtaposition of it into matters of the afterlife. Nicely worked black shawl/black trousers crossing the bath. Great visual awareness.

The film also takes the time and effort to raise other points which, although non-supernatural, are just as worthy (if not more) of the horror mantel. The Home Secretary’s chilling appraisal of the situation and her callous laissez-faire response screamed volumes, as did the crowd of onlookers who urged the man to jump as they viewed events through the screens of their recording cellphones. Excellent stuff.”
